What happens when you take some great hits, give them
a new point of view and a fresh arrangement? That’s what you will be exploring
with Multi-Award-winning director and musical director, Lennie
Watts and Steven Ray Watkins. Each participant will be assigned
two songs to learn as
written. Then the fun begins! Over the eight class session, we will collaborate on
personalized treatments of these great songs. We will explore the lyrics, and
the style of the song, and create a one of a kind arrangement just for you! At
the end of this session, your eyes will be opened to a whole new way to look at
music!
Enrollment limited and by audition only. Each course includes a performance on 3/20 or 4/1 (Session 1) or 5/22 or 6/11 (Session 2).
Each participant will also receive a chart for their
arrangement of one of their two pieces.
