Instructor approval is required. “What do I sing?” “Where do I stand?” “Where do I look?” “What do I do with my arms?” “How can I hit that high note?” “How can I hit that low note?” All of these questions and more can be answered in the Performance Techniques Workshop. Aimed at the working singer who wants to polish and perfect his or her performance, this class combines proven vocal techniques with proven performance technique. As the title suggests, the workshop will approach singing as a series of techniques which combine to create your best possible performance. Special attention will be placed on selecting, expanding and honing appropriate repertoire as well as staging and structuring the singer’s material.

Course includes a performance on 3/5 (Session 1) and 5/9 (Session 2) for students enrolled in the full session. Participation in course performance for students enrolling late will be at the instructor's discretion.
