Katya Kortny Teaches Voice Technique

Katya Kortny

Katya Kortny, former star of the Moscow Operetta Theatre, teaches Singing for People Who Think They Can't on Fridays and Voice Technique on Saturdays.  Both classes have the same format, with the Friday class being tailored more toward the beginning singer.

Ms. Kortny studied at the Moscow Academy of Theatrical Arts, and was the star pupil of M.B. Mordvnoff and T. Yanko. She was invited to work in many Soviet musical venues, but chose to perform at the Moscow Operetta Theatre. Here, she spent twenty years developing her talent and became Boris Yeltsin's favorite star. Katya starred in operetta classics such as FLEDERMAUS, COUNTESS MARITSA, FRASKITA, MERRY WIDOW, SILVA, A TRIP TO THE MOON, BLUE BEARD, as well as musicals HELLO, DOLLY! and MY FAIR LADY.

Come join Ms. Kortny and the Singers Forum family by signing up for one of these classes!
