The Art of the Performer - New Time!

Vicki Stuart's performance class The Art of the Performer is moving!  The Tuesday class will now run 6:30-9:30 pm.

Learn how to master microphone technique, find your own personal style, and take to the stage like a polished professional.  Vicki Stuart is an accomplished singer, actor, director and lecturer with credits ranging from Broadway to television.  Among her many projects, she is directing The Tony Fusco Show, which will play at The Iridium on Sunday, January 28 (click here for more information). There are still a few spots available in this class, so sign up today!

Tuesdays, 6:30-9:30 pm
Session 1: 1/9-3/6/07, 9 classes
$450*, $55 per single class

*Class fee is pro-rated for late starts.  For example, if you start on 1/30, you pay just $300 for the remainder of the session.

Consultations - New Day!

Consultations, your free opportunity to get personalized advice about what to study and with whom, are moving to Wednesdays, starting in February.

Never studied at Singers Forum and curious about what teacher is right for you?  Been taking the same class for a couple of semesters and looking for something new?  Wondering what kind of progress you're making?  These are all great reasons to come to a Consultation.

SF Artistic Director Don Rebic runs these free sessions.  Call to set up an appointment, bring a song to sing, and get ready to find out how you can make the most of what Singers Forum has to offer!

Mid-Semester Sample Class Day - March 11

Everyone loves the free sample classes at our Open Houses, so we thought we'd bring you another day of them before Session 2 begins in March.

Mark your calendars for March 11, 1-4 pm.  We'll be offering abbreviated samples of classes offered in our Spring catalog, including Voice Technique, Cabaret Workshop, The Art of the Performer, Hook, Line & Singer, Sing the Truth, Patter, Poise, Passion & Panache, Beyond the Classroom, and more, at no cost to you.  Plus, consultations will offered throughout.

We'll be reminding you about this event as March approaches!

Open Mic is Next Week!

Singers Forum hosts an Open Mic the first Friday of every month.  The next Open Mic will be Friday, February 2.

Emcee John Koprowski will be on hand, and Heather Bennett returns to the Singers Forum stage, providing professional accompaniment at the grand piano. Bring two songs, with sheet music in your key, and make sure to arrive early.  Sign-up begins at 7:30 pm, and Open Mic starts at 8 pm!

All styles of music are welcome, and we invite you to stay on and support your fellow performers after you leave the stage.  We look forward to seeing you there!
